A native Athenian, Whitney Winburn Goodstone, has been surrounded by law her entire life, including working for her father who was a prominent trial attorney and pillar of the legal community. Whitney attended the University of Georgia where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration before moving to Australia and attending law school at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. While practicing law in Australia, Whitney’s practice areas included employment law and industrial relations, construction litigation, property development, conveyances and retail and commercial leasing.
Since returning to the United States in 1999, Whitney continued to utilize her personal business experiences and global perspective in growing an import/export business. Experienced at both the small business and big business levels, Whitney is an excellent communicator, negotiator and lateral thinker. Her international law degree and diverse background gives her great insight when it comes to working with people of varying backgrounds to help them resolve a wide array of problems.
In addition to growing a successful mediation practice since 2012, Whitney has worked with 3tree Realty LLC and Deep Roots Management LLC in the real estate and property management market since 2022. Hence, utilizing her interpersonal and extensive business skills.
As a long-standing leader in her community, Whitney has donated her time to many worthy causes especially those promoting education. She was a Founding Board Member of Books For Keeps which is dedicated to curtailing the achievement gap between low-income students and middle-class students in Athens. Furthermore, Whitney has been an advocate and mentor for university students and young adults for over 25 years, nurturing and maintaining personal relationships with those who she has mentored.
